I combine over 30 years of expertise in chemical engineering with a deep passion for bird and wildlife photography. As a former professor at Louisiana State University, specializing in the environmental fate and transport of chemicals, I have conducted over $30 million in research, primarily focused on understanding the effects of chemicals on air, water, and sediment quality. My experience as both a professor and administrator, including roles as Department Chair and Vice President for Research and Economic Development, has given me a unique perspective on the environmental challenges we face.
In addition to my academic career, I have nurtured a lifelong passion for photographing and documenting birds and wildlife. My travels around the world have inspired me to combine my scientific expertise with my love for nature, focusing on conservation efforts that highlight the urgent need to protect endangered species and their habitats. Through my work, I aim to raise awareness about conservation and bring the beauty of wildlife to a broader audience.
